The Lakes

Back to Blogs

The Adam Team celebrated a very successful quarter by heading up to Bowness-on-Windermere for a well-deserved trip to the Lake District.

The day started off bright and early with a brisk walk up Orrest Head peak. Chris Townsend of Tunafish Media and his futuristic ‘drone’ accompanied us on the walk. The drone was used to fly around and film some breathtaking footage for an upcoming video featuring us; more details of that to come in the near future!

At the top of Orrest Head we were treated to some truly spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding rolling hills.

Next on the agenda, we had a very hearty pub lunch which was followed by a cruise around Lake Windermere where we all took in the sights, learned a bit of history and quaffed a few beers.

After checking into the picturesque Burnside Hotel up the road, we enjoyed a team meal, complete with speeches by the CEO Richard Gahagan, where he gave us a company update and highlighted a few of the Top Performers in the business.

The trip was a great reminder of how far we’ve come as a business over the past 12 months and how strong and close knit the team really are. Sharing the same purpose, values and vision has really helped us with our growth plans in 2015 and this is purely down to hiring the right people with aligning attitudes and work ethics. Recruitment is a tough business, but it is made easier when you collaborate as team and embrace the journey.

We’re big advocates of rewarding high achievements and the trip to the Lakes really highlighted what a special quarter it had been across the business, from recruitment consultant to the back office support staff who make all our lives easier and enable us to focus on our day jobs of #TransformingLives.

These trips are so important and we aim to organize these on a quarterly basis so we can all get out of the office and get to know each other in different environments; as well as our Director’s lunch clubs and high-flyer events. One of our new Manchester starters, Jess O’Toole, was thrown straight into the mix and managed to put up with us for 2 days and really enjoyed herself and has got to know us all so much quicker and better.

We’ve got some exciting opportunities in both our London and Manchester offices as we expand and our Head of Talent, Shayne Wilson is always keen to talk to people who are looking for their next career move.

So if you’re looking to join a successful team, where the enjoyment of the journey is equally as important as the end result, then get in touch on the details below.
