Job Title: Communications Manager
Company: International Logistics Company
Location:Liverpool
Focus of the role: Supporting and implementing the Group Communication Strategy whilst enhancing the branding and image of its brands in the UK
Hybrid role: 35 Hours per week 9am-5pm, 3 days a week in the office and 2 days WFH
Base Salary: UP to £50k DOE

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Contribute to the development, quality control and implementation of the UK communications plan and help manage the communication budget accordingly.

*Support strategy and ensure that all directives from Head Office (HO) are well implemented.

*Serve as primary contact for Public Relations/advertising requests that will then be qualified by or handled by Corporate Communications.

*In close coordination with the HO Communication Department, you are responsible for defining and implementing the Group's communication strategy for the UK, through Press Relations, social media and digital content, advertising, customer communication and internal communication.
Press and media relations:
Initiate and maintain positive productive relationships with media sources through consistent contacts to inform and coordinate interviews.
Maintaining and circulating contact lists of all media representatives
Compose and edit all press releases and track local media mentions pertaining to our company and industry.
Prepare talking points for interviews and speaking opportunities
Propose speaking opportunities for the designated spokespeople in the UK
Social media and digital content:
Draft local news to be published on the Group's websites
Draft social media posts to be shared with HO for publishing on Group's social media accounts
-Advertising:
Propose advertising plans (both online and in print format depending on market)
Follow up on KPIs to formulate recommendations
Customer Communication:
Coordinate industry related events, such as trade fairs and exhibitions in the UK
Coordinate and organize customer events (including webinars)
Internal:
Provide weekly information to Corporate Communications
Create content for internal publications, memos and organizational announcements.

*Ensure events are completed to the communication standards set by Head Office
*Ensure events are completed within budget set by Head Office
*Find right vendors to ensure brand image is communicated effectively

Skills and attributes required:
*Proven experience in public relations or digital communication required with demonstrated skills in developing, managing and delivering communications.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills suitable for news organizations.
*Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship development and project management
*Must be self-motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision and work well with external advertising agencies and trade magazines.
*Confident strategic thinker who can convey information in clear and concise messages that audiences can understand.
*Expertise in writing communications and business correspondence.
*Must be deadline focused, flexible with changing priorities and able to handle urgent requests.
*Proficient PC Skills Required: PowerPoint (Advanced), Outlook, Word, Excel
