Job description
Job Title: Communications & PR Manager
Company: Mid size non-profit organisation
Location: Warrington
Focus of the role: 60% PR and 40% Communications
Hybrid role: 5 days a week fulltime role, 2-3 days per week office based and rest of the time WFH. Parking is provided.
Base Salary: £37k-£43k DOE
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
*Contribute to the development and delivery of the communications plan, creating internal and external (B2B & B2C) communications and official report copy, working to official guidelines, deadlines and sign off procedures
*Monitor daily media mentions to inform colleagues of relevant news and identify opportunities to respond
*Manage inbound media enquiries coordinating activity and responses with appropriate stakeholders including the Public Affairs team
*Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence change. Advise and empower colleagues with media training connecting them with media and agencies as subject matter experts
*Manage publication of content via relevant channels and act as editorial oversight for other content generators within the business as required
*Work closely with colleagues to support events and campaigns
*Support the Head of Brand & Communications in maintaining and executing the crisis communications plan
Skills and attributes required:
Essential Skills / Experience;
*Proactive, positive, collaborative, creative and disciplined communications professional with exceptional written, editorial and presentation skills
*Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and process
*Ability to manage own workload, take initiative and drive collaboration coordinating campaigns and strategies with key stakeholders to achieve objectives
*Flexibility to respond dynamically to changing situations, whilst maintaining quality
*Experienced in omni-channel internal and external communications in B2B and B2C environments, formal report writing, management of public relations, media coordination and press release distribution
*Proven experience in a MarComs role which also includes solid experience in a PR/Communications role
*Competent in all MS Office packages particularly Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Desirable Skills / Experience;
*Degree level qualified in related subject
*Creation of social media posts in design packages
*CIPR member/qualification
