​Head of Brand

The Head of Brand is responsible for adapting and implmenting a brand strategy for an organisation's target market. They ensure brand integrity across all marketing and communications initiatives.


  • The total brand strategy, including brand marketing guidelines, brand vision, and short- and long-term brand vision

  • Assisting with product development and new product launches

  • The planning and execution of all marketing, communications and media actions across all channels

  • Creation of promotional materials

  • Product branding

  • Budget management

  • Sales forecasting and reporting

  • Competitor and consumer insights analysis

Expected Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • An analytical mind

  • A high degree of business acumen

  • Management skills

  • Hands-on marketing experience

  • Although not always necessary, Head of Brand's tend to be degree qualified in a relevant discipline, for example Business Studies or Marketing. Many also go on to complete an MBA.


​The average UK annual salary for a Head of Brand is £73,000. This can rise to around £100,000 in London. Annual bonuses are common for Heads of Brand, alongside other benefits. (Glassdoor, March 2022)
