Full Time: Permanent
Location: High Peak, Derbyshire
Hybrid: 3 days a week in the office, 2 days WFH
Salary: £50-60,000 DOE
We are curreklty recruiting for an award winning furnishings brand with ambitious growth plans. As Merchandise Manager, you will lead a team of 10 merchandisers, overseeing both local and offshore operations to optimise stock placement and performance. Your role will foster team growth and upskill to a high performing team. You'll collaborate closely with the buying team, guiding product development and range planning strategies. Proactively recommending and deciding on product launches and lifecycle stages, you'll enhance commercial insight and decision-making.
The Role:
Develop and implement merchandising strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and inventory goals.
Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed buying decisions, ensuring effective inventory management.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely product delivery and implement inventory control systems to optimise stock turnover.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, conduct performance evaluations, and address issues promptly.
Manage product lifecycle from introduction to clearance, plan and execute promotions, and monitor competitor pricing to adjust strategies.
Lead and mentor the merchandise team, provide guidance, conduct performance reviews, and create a positive work environment.
Organise training sessions to enhance team skills and present regular performance reports to senior management.
Analyse sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Use data-driven insights to inform future merchandising decisions and present regular performance reports to senior management.
Work with the sales team to understand customer needs, partner with marketing to develop advertising campaigns, and coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure timely product delivery and distribution.
This role may involve occasional travel to trade shows, vendor meetings, and company sites.
