Job description

The new "Marketing Director" is to be the go-to person for all Corporate Marketing Matters for the Group, and in support of the various country organizations as they reposition the company as it transforms itself into a purely software-centric business.

They're looking for somebody to lead all marketing activities from strategy definition through to oversight implementation of that strategy. Responsibilities include developing plans to help strengthen brand, allocate resources to different projects and setting short-term and long-term department goals.

Also key in this will be expanding the knowledge basis to accommodate new products and services in the Group as the results of recent merger bear fruit, the most prescient short term example being the addition of Payment Services to their portfolio.
Ultimately, you will run the Marketing Department with a strong Lead-Gen focus, in ways that promote higher profitability and competitiveness, and will report to, and support the Chief Strategy Officer in delivering the Marketing aims of the business.

Activities & Responsibilities:
1.Define, refine & evolve Marketing Strategy with the Chief Strategy Officer
2.Set and Maintain Marketing Budget
3.Campaigns: Ideation, Making a business case, budgeting, helping with partners, developing a plan, copywriting, working with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to develop content, reviewing, managing the execution, tracking & reporting performance.
4.Customer Newsletters planning, copywriting, scheduling, content preparation, working with Country-based Marketers to put on CRM, reviewing and publishing
5.Internal newsletter planning, copywriting, scheduling, content preparation, working with Country-based Marketer to put on CRM, reviewing and publishing
6.Website Copywriting & reviewing
7.Website Enhancement to support campaigns
8.Working with internal & external stakeholders to ensure the website is meeting business & management expectations
9.Social Media: Content & publishing direction; Content review; Improving publishing processes;
10.Press releases drafting, reviewing, working with internal and external parties to agree on wording / scheduling / approving / paying / publishing.
11.Content development: Datasheets, website, social media banners/sliders/videos, 'calculators', videos, case studies, landing pages, etc.
12.Webinar production
13.Podcast program: ideation, scheduling, reminding, promotion direction, reviewing, etc.
14.Team guidance: Weekly formal and informal meetings; Direction;
15.Hiring: Developing job descriptions, working with agencies, interviewing, onboarding
16.Managing Corporate Marketing team
17.Marketing reporting - Weekly
18.Running new lead gen experiments
19.Participating in non-marketing calls/meetings/sessions to stay abreast of what's happening and to incorporate in marketing
20.Supporting sales enablement
21.Sourcing, contracting, collaborating with, managing projects & invoicing with external agencies

Experience:
You have run a Marketing organisation, preferably in a technology-related business
You have leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals
You have run successful marketing campaigns
You have a solid knowledge of web analytics and Google Adwords
You have experience with CRM software
You have an analytical mind
