Key Account Manager

Role: Integrated Key Account Manager role

Location: Birmingham

Field/Onsite 3 days a week and 2 days working from home

Salary: £50k to Circa £65k DOE & monthly car allowance & bonus up to 25% & generous pension

We're on the lookout for an innovative and open minded Key Account Manager, to help drive sales growth within designated territories for our client.

As the single point of contact the KAM will work across the ICS/ICB/HB, demonstrating a targeted approach to account planning, focusing on high-opportunity accounts. The emphasis is on building partnerships with stakeholder groups through face-to-face contact, utilising digital methods when necessary, and adapting to meet customers' needs. The KAM will report to the RBM, whilst collaboratively working along-side the Marketing Team.

The Role:

· Knowledge of the NHS structure, policy, processes, and key governing bodies and understanding of the prescriptions medicine market, formulary inclusion process and healthcare system.

· Knowledge of sales strategies and techniques for driving formulary inclusion, optimisation, and sales growth.

· Proficiency in market analysis, including competitor intelligence gathering and customer insights.

· Clear understanding of the ABPI code of conduct and the requirement for compliance at all times.

· Strong account management and selling skills.

· Proficiency in using digital platforms and technologies, and strong analytical skills to interpret data.

Who are we looking for?

· Educated to degree level, ideally in a science or biomedical subject.

· Clear understanding of the ABPI code of conduct and the requirement for compliance at all times. (ideally the successful candidate will have ABPI qualification)

· Ideally with over 3 years branded (ethical) pharmaceutical sales experience in selling to key stakeholders across ICS's/ ICBs /HB's.

· Demonstrated sales success within pharmaceutical industry.

· Good networks and relationships within disease areas and ICS/ICB /HB's, would be an advantage.
