HR Director - North West - c£100k plus bens - Permanent

Are you a senior HR professional looking to join an innovative, transformational and highly successful business, where HR is valued and you have the opportunity to lead a diverse and high performing team? If the answer is yes then read on.

The Business

A privately owned leader in their field this business are enjoying significant growth and transformation. With a global footprint and sites across the UK they have invested in their infrastructure, particularly from a technology perspective and are now stepping into the next phase of their evolution. With a blend of site, office and home based employees they recognise the value of HR now more than ever, and will look to the HR Director to continue the development and implementation of a robust HR strategy which supports their future growth plans. Culturally they are a welcoming business, who aren't hierarchical and status driven, and have fully embraced the 'new normal' of hybrid working.

The Role

This role will have ultimate responsibility for the HR strategy in the UK, leading a large team and providing inspirational leadership which allows the team to fully realise its capability. A large focus will be on continuing the development of the team, ensuring they have the tools and capability to do their jobs effectively, and to also enjoy what they do. This role is that of an enabler, providing the critical link between HR and the business at a senior level, ensuring this collaboration and open communication cascades through the team and is replicated at all levels.

Partnering with the Board, the HR Director will work with and support them through ongoing change, coaching where needed and ensuring that people experience is front of mind when business decisions are being made. You will provide strategic direction on areas such as ER, Talent Acquisition, L&D and Reward, either directly or indirectly through your team of subject matter experts. There is significant transformation ongoing, particularly around systems and tech and you will lead on ensuring that the people impact of these changes is taken into account and addressed throughout while ensuring these systems are fit for purpose and support what the team is trying to achieve, ideally allowing them to partner more effectively with the business once processes become slicker and more automated.

The Person

The ideal person for this role will have a track record of working at a senior level in a fast paced and diverse business. Ideally with a blend of experience across blue and white collar industries, you will have led and developed large, multi disciplinary teams previously. You will thrive in an environment which is constantly changing and evolving, and will always be on the look out for an opportunity to make improvements, striving for exceptionally high service levels at all times. You will be an excellent communicator and builder of relationships at all levels along with taking a pragmatic approach.

As mentioned hybrid working is very much at play here, although a North West base would be preferable for ease of commute on the days you do go to site.
