Are you a creative HR professional who is able to think big picture about culture and engagement, while also defining robust people processes and frameworks?

Here at Adam we are working with a fast paced, high growth tech business who are seeking a Head of HR who can take ownership of the HR Ops piece, while also supporting the development of a performance and customer focused business. They have already built a committed and engaged team, who love what they do and have fun doing it, and now the opportunity is there to build a HR service which supports the business goals and adds true value.

So what will you be doing?

Initially we expect this individual will carry out a full review of current state, before identifying short, medium and long term priorities. They have processes and policies already, but you will look at how these can be improved, and how they support the business in real, pragmatic terms. Employee relations will form part of the role, and you will establish firm but fair practices around this, ensuring managers have the confidence and support to lead their teams and manage any issues appropriately and effectively. You will also review existing team structures, working to put more robust frameworks in place around performance management, career paths and role profiles, ensuring there are clear standards and opportunities to develop. You will also lead a small team, and will be focused on developing them and providing inspirational leadership, being someone they can expect support and guidance from as they develop their careers. Culture is critical to the success of this business, and you will work with the People team and wider business to build on already great foundations to develop a fun, supportive, and high performance culture which enables the huge growth plans they have.

Who are the business?

This is where it gets really interesting. They are a high growth, fast paced and hugely commercial tech business. They are privately owned and unapologetic about their ambitious growth plans, however they recognise that people are absolutely critical to achieving their goals. They have plans to double headcount in the next few years, and need to ensure their HR infrastructure is solid to enable and sustain this.

Who are they looking for?

A pragmatic, innovative and creative HR professional. You will ideally have worked in a pacy, high growth environment and have solid experience of embedding process and frameworks which are scalable and robust. You will be an excellent problem solver with an eye for detail, who can also think laterally with good emotional intelligence. You will also have previous team leadership experience.
