About the role:

Account directors are true leaders for both clients and internal teams. You will have mastered the art of client communication, building long-lasting relationships and delivering creative and valuable campaigns. You know how to listen to clients and prospects and are able to upsell and pitch with conviction. You are highly organised, with a positive attitude and entrepreneurial streak. You inspire confidence in all of your clients and team members and are a role model and mentor for junior staff. You know the industry, the tech space and the media landscape inside-out and are an effective and regular ambassador for this agency at events and on social channels.

This is a crucial senior role within the Search, Social and Analytics team, and needs someone who's as experienced as they are enthusiastic in these key disciplines: SEO, Paid Search/Social, Organic Social & Analytics. They are a global team, focussing on all key markets with team members in multiple time zones.

Main responsibilities:

Account management
● Acting as a senior strategic counsel to clients, ensuring that they are aligned with, and
delivering against business goals across all service lines
● Monitoring for any issues and handling any problems or client concerns effectively
● Ongoing supervision of accounts, acting as the gatekeeper for quality control
● Ensuring that they have the correct resources available on all accounts and restructuring
teams and services where needed for best results
● Driving improvements and growth on all your accounts, ensuring the agency is regularly offering new ideas and creative solutions leading to organic opportunities and high retention levels
● Working with other offices and partners to ensure great client service, team
collaboration, and effective delivery of international campaigns
● Someone who can clearly, simply and convincingly articulate the role digital channels play in the marketing landscape, contextualize the value of digital for overall client business goals and explain sometimes complex thinking in simple language.

Team management:

● Sharing best practice within the team to motivate and inspire through good work
● Line managing Account Management team members, supporting their career development
and offering ad hoc mentoring and training as required
● Acting as a core member of the leadership team, supporting local and global initiatives and
helping build and spread values and culture
● Taking responsibility for over-service levels on your accounts, ensuring these are
addressed where necessary
● Working closely with the Performance Director to ensure output is always world class

New business and marketing:

● Acting as an ambassador at all times through networking, social media and
events
● Regular ownership of new business pitches, from taking the brief through to pitching
● Supporting marketing activities by contributing ideas and thought leadership

Skills and competencies:

● Proven track record in a digital marketing / performance
marketing role, either agency-side or in-house
● Easily evidenced success in content marketing campaigns
● Exceptional client management skills
