Clients and Markets Manager

Location: Birmingham, Manchester or Oxford

Salary: £45k - £55k depending on experience

Fixed term contract for 12 months

We're on the lookout for an experienced Clients and Markets Manager. To strengthen the company's expansion strategy, the Clients and Markets Manager will assume the responsibility of delivering top-notch and efficient business development and marketing assistance to our client's Partners and attorneys. This role aims to contribute to the achievement of both national growth objectives and local plans.

The Role:

  • Manage Clients and Markets Executives, ensuring efficient allocation and completion of tasks across locations.
  • Oversee support for the firm's international territory groups, directing resources to achieve objectives.
  • Coordinate and contribute to submissions for legal rankings such as Chambers, Legal 500, etc.
  • Provide practical one-to-one BD advice to Partners and attorneys to foster profitable client relationships.
  • Generate leads through comprehensive integrated marketing and BD activities.
  • Support the pursuit of qualified leads within a sales pipeline.
  • Identify and engage with local and national networks and innovation hubs.
  • Identify and compile thought leadership content for seminars, articles, and newsletters.
  • Organise BD meetings with attorney groups, overseeing the completion of action points.
  • Manage and evaluate ROI for all local marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with the Bids and Tenders Manager on pitch production as required.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee administrative tasks for events, seminars, sponsorships, exhibitions, and hospitality.
  • Assist in UK-wide and international BD projects.
  • Advocate for the marketing and BD team, promoting key messages, brand strategy, and marketing output in various forms..

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in a business development/marketing role at the executive or managerial level, preferably within a professional services setting.
  • Preferably holds a degree or equivalent qualification in a marketing or business-related discipline.
  • Proven success in designing, executing, and evaluating business development activities.
  • Supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building networks and fostering business development.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, capable of translating analysis into practical business development actions.
