We're seeking a Social Value Officer to lead and enhance our client’s social value offering. You'll also build key relationships with third-party organisations to influence policy and expand their network.
The Role:
- Collaborate with customers to define and embed measurable social value commitments within their projects, aligning with frameworks like TOMs and the Social Value Act.
- Provide expert social value guidance to the Sales and Bid teams for proactive engagement.
- Deeply understand and map the organisations social value initiatives against recognised frameworks.
- Work across internal teams (e.g., sustainability, recruitment) to capture, enhance, and report on company-wide social value impact, including procurement and portal usage.
- Create enabling content for internal audiences.
- Engage with third-party organisations, industry bodies, and VCSEs to build a robust social value network.
- Represent the client at key events and policy discussions to influence best practices, identify trends, and develop partnerships for effective local delivery.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience in a Social Value Officer role or a similar position.
- A strong grasp of social value principles, frameworks, and reporting measures (such as the Social Value Portal TOMs, MACs, or NETpositive) is essential.
- Adept at converting initiatives into meaningful statistics and tangible deliverables for customers.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within an IT or technology-focused organisation, will be highly beneficial but not essential.
- A track record of effective stakeholder engagement, including collaborating with community groups, VCSEs, or government bodies.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills are key, enabling you to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
