Business Development & Bid Manager
My client is a high profile accountancy and advisory firm with a network of offices throughout the UK. They are looking to recruit a Business Development and Bid Manager on a 15 month contract based in either London, Manchester, Edinburgh or potentially another regional office. You will have extensive experience of managing multiple bids and BD projects within a professional services firm. This is a broad role working in a team to support all practice groups and the national network of offices.
The key responsibilities of this role include the co-ordination of tender documentation including responding to an RFP/ITT, the drafting of content where appropriate, the co-ordination of bid teams and helping with final pitches and presentations. The role will also involve business development research, helping identify targets, working on subsequent campaigns and involvement in other ad-hoc business development projects. The role reports directly to the Head of Marketing and requires frequent liaison with the firm's partners.
The successful candidate will be/have:
*Degree qualified (ideally 2:1 or above)
*CIM qualified (desirable but not essential)
*Relevant marketing/business development experience in a professional services firm
*Experience of working on competitive tenders and pitches, research, coordination of document production, drafting and proof reading and post-tender evaluation
*Experience of being able to influence and challenge partners
*Strong business development and commercial research experience
This role can be a step up for a Senior Exec with 3-4 years experience or an experienced Manager
