JOB TITLE: Assistant Brand Manager for UK Marketing team
LOCATION: Huddersfield
Full Time
Salary: up to £30k

1.PURPOSE OF ROLE
This role exists to support the Senior Brand Manager our client's (FMCG/Pharma) market leading UK Marketing team, across an extensive portfolio of products; ensuring all key performance indicators are met through the implementation of the marketing brand plans and NPD programmes.

This busy role is intended to be a starting point for career progression into product management and would also suit an experienced marketing assistant or assistant brand manager looking to develop their experience by working on leading brands.

2.KEY TASKS/OBJECTIVES
*Assist the Senior Brand Manager with the execution of brand plans and achievement of commercial objectives.
*Assist the Senior Brand Manager on the NPD programme and strategy.
*Assist the Marketing team with the organisation and execution of regional and national exhibitions.
*Assist with presentations for internal and external meetings.
*Assist with the day-to-day management of PR and promotional activities (via external agencies)
*Provide marketing support for the sales teams as required i.e., design promotional materials, implement marketing campaigns.
*Monitor external communications and PR and make recommendations to Senior Brand Manager and digital agency.
*Monitor social media / website pages and make recommendations to Senior Brand Manager and digital agency.
*Work with external agency to deliver timely updates to brand websites.
*Analyse and report on brand campaigns, exhibitions, and events.
*Analysis of quantitative and qualitative market research data
*Provide brand support to the Field Sales Teams
*Assist with the management of product stock forecasts and update as required.
*Monitor stock levels and work with planning department to ensure timely release of products.
*Any other work as may be reasonably required.
*Possess a thorough understanding of the provisions of the APBI Code of Practice and internal SOPs, to ensure that the Company's image and reputation is never jeopardised by irresponsible or unethical conduct.

3.PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Required Skills and Qualifications
*Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
*Confident in dealing with people at different levels and in different departments.
*Comfortable working with external agencies
*Ability to work unsupervised (taking own initiative when required)
*Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills (balancing day to day requirements with project deadlines and a heavy workload)
*A degree relevant to Marketing, Business, Commerce or in the Life Sciences
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
*Some post qualification experience in a marketing role is an advantage and now looking for the next step
*Full clean driving license
