eCommerce Manager
An eCommerce Manager is responsible for the online sales of a business. Their role includes the day-to-day management of the company website, and formulating strategies around the design and practicality of the online store and adjacent platforms (i.e. an App).
Responsibilities
Develop and execute an eCommerce strategy in order to improve the performance of the website
Manage all online activity relating to sales, conversion, and website traffic
Reporting on website activity
Work closely with developers to improve the website
Be up to date on market trends and technologies
Work closely with the marketing team to aid traffic acquisition
Using data to inform eCommerce strategies
Performance reporting
Expected Skills & Qualifications
Degree educated in a relevant subject
3+ years' experience in a similar position
Good working knowledge of PPC, SEO, social media, affiliate channels, etc.
Ability to accurately analyse data and use this data to inform decisions
Excellent understanding of web design, UX, and web analysis
Experience in UX, Adobe, InDesign, etc.
Proven experience managing marketing and tech teams
Salary
The average UK annual salary for a eCommerce Manager is £48,500. This can rise to around £52,500 in London. An eCommerce Manager in the North of England can expect approx. £45,500 per year. There may also be additional benefits and a bonus offered. (Reed.co.uk, March 2022)
