Job description

UK Head of HR - Bedfordshire - Permanent - £75,000 - £85,000

I am delighted to be partnering the UK division of this international business in their search for their next UK Head of HR.

The Company

A medium sized international business offering a breadth of services within a niche market. A market leader in their field they have a highly skilled workforce who are very much at the forefront of innovation within the industry. Striving for excellence in all they do, they are looking to strengthen the HR function with the addition of a UK Head of HR.

The Role

The UK Head of HR will directly partner the Country Head and support their leadership team in developing and executing a robust people strategy which aligns to both country and international priorities, while ensuring people are at the heart of their decision making. A truly blended role, you will carry out a strategic role, while also leading on operational activities, supporting your team to deliver to their stakeholders in a collaborative and empowering way.

A generalist role at heart, you will hold ultimate responsibility for BAU activities including the implementation of annual talent and succession planning, pay review and bonus cycles, employee relations, and HR systems and data compliance. The role exists against a backdrop of significant change, therefore at a strategic level the UK Head of HR will be responsible for leading change activity, with an eye on engagement and the cultural impact of these programmes.

You will also lead a team, ensuring a supportive environment which encourages development and a team which is regarded as high performing and well respected.

The Person

The ideal candidate for this role will have previously operated at a similar level, with demonstrable experience of seamlessly blending strategic and operational priorities and the credibility to partner at a senior leadership level. Generalist experience is essential, as is team leadership experience. You will be CIPD qualified (or equivalent), and be comfortable in an environment experiencing ongoing change.

It would be advantageous to have worked in a matrix environment, with some international exposure.
