Senior Brand Manager - Consumer/FMCG
Location: Pharma/FMCG company in Huddersfield
Base Salary to £55k DOE

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity exists in a brand-new role to develop the Trade Marketing function within the UK Marketing team.
In this role, you'll support sales and profit growth by improving relationships with Retail and wholesale Partners, elevating the brand presence, optimising performance, and improving conversion across all retail channels (on and offline).

You will be key in the omnichannel consumer journey, responsible for how brands are represented across Retail Partners, from instore presence to salesperson knowledge to Retail Partner online presence.

The successful candidate must be both strategic and hands-on, to develop strategies and tactics to achieve objectives, and working closely with the category manager and key account team, they will launch, manage, monitor performance, and optimise programs and tools to help generate sales and profit growth.

Play a guidance and leadership role at Trade Shows & Exhibitions collaborating with appropriate stakeholders.
Work in close conjunction with the broader Marketing team members to ensure that all communications are in line with the Team Strategies and Brand Guidelines.
The role is fast-paced, hands on, and highly visible within the organization - the job holder must build strong relationships and gain key stakeholder alignment on a regular basis, as well as own their output & deliverables.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results:
*Development of the retailer and wholesaler strategy in collaboration with Head of Marketing, Head of Sales and key account team.
*Define and improve relationships with Retail and wholesale Partners with the goal of increasing sales and profit
*Optimise the shopper experience within all Retail Partner touchpoints - with a focus on range, communications and visibility
*Develop visual merchandising and point of sale in collaboration with retail partner and shopper marketing agency
*Create trade marketing assets including retailer presentations, Point of Sale hardware, Promotional Point of Sale and exhibition assets
*Implement tools to monitor efficiency of trade marketing programs
*Collaboration with brand team and key account manager to lead and implement Trade Shows & Exhibitions.
*Inspire external agencies to deliver objectives on time and on budget.
*Manage Trade Marketing budget and appropriate administrative duties.

Requirements

*Extensive experience in trade marketing and/or customer marketing within an FMCG or retailer environment is essential. The ideal candidate may also be from a channel marketing or buying background. Will also consider step change candidates with relevant experience who are seeking a step up in their career.
*Commercially savvy, with expertise developing sales processes and reacting to competition.
*Experience within an HQ role creating the marketing materials and guidance for usage.
*Visual merchandising and trade show/exhibition experience.
*Experience working with CRM tools.
