SEO Manager

Location: Stockport

WFH/Onsite: Office based, potential for limited wfh for the successful candidate on occasion a couple of times a month with managerial approval

Salary: Up to £50k DOE

We're on the lookout for an innovative SEO Manager, the ideal candidate should be a skilled marketer with a track record of enhancing website traffic, ROI, and engagement through search optimisation. They should also have a strong passion for various digital marketing channels. This role supports UK merchandisers with SEO expertise under the guidance of the Manager Content Merchandising & SEO UK, blending content and best SEO practices from strategic, operational, and tactical viewpoints.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Content Merchandising & SEO UK to craft the UK Content & SEO strategy, aligning priorities and tactics to achieve business objectives and assisting merchandisers in its execution.

  • Improve content by auditing and optimising transactional and non-transactional content, including product, category, blog, and rich content.

  • Perform ongoing technical website audits for SEO. Continuously monitor websites and offer proactive recommendations using tools like Screaming Frog, Google Console, and OncrawlBotify

  • Provide training to merchandising and other marketing teams to enhance digital adoption and SEO knowledge and capabilities, including analytics and keyword research, under the guidance of the Manager of Content Merchandising & SEO UK.

  • Coordinate projects among various marketing teams, including local e-commerce, EU SEO, product management, and merchandising teams.

  • Perform SEO analytics and reporting, continuously monitoring and analysing performance, and providing weekly and monthly updates to key stakeholders, in addition to the Manager of Content Merchandising & SEO UK:

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven relevant experience of digital marketing and SEO

  • The candidate should possess strong copywriting and proofreading abilities, project management skills, and effective communication skills.

  • Technical SEO knowledge, including HTML and website code, is important, experience with WordPress and Magento is preferred.

  • The candidate should be results-oriented, creative, and solution-oriented, with familiarity in paid search programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google enterprise is an advantage.

  • The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced matrix organisation, taking direction from multiple managers, and should be comfortable working autonomously and as a team player with both the UK team, European/World SEO Team, and colleagues across Europe.
