So, first things first, this role is going to be demanding - this business is embracing some significant change which will require sophisticated & sensitive management working at pace.

What is the role?
As Senior HR Manager or Head of HR, the role reports into an HR Director with a full generalist HR remit, partnering the SLT and leading an HR team.

Who is the company?
Industrial sector, multisited & complex, this multi £million business is well established, well known in sector and has worked hard to curate a robust business plan going forward.

What does the role entail?
Firstly, you will work quickly to create strong working relationships with your immediate stakeholders; sussing out the business issues and finding effective quick wins that enable the business to perform in the short term. As a credible HR business leader, you will develop the HR strategy and ensure its operational delivery is "fit for purpose", and ultimately supports for future success.
Broad, varied & busy, no two days will be the same in the role. You'll have business as usual to deliver, and also a range of change related projects encompassing reward & organisation design. You'll be required to keep your eye on the pulse of the business, analysing MI & KPI data in order to provide insightful commentary & spot trends.

Ultimately you will be a true HR business partner helping the business to grow with highly engaged & performing employees; which will in turn translate into an increase to the bottom line.

What profile are they looking for?
You'll have a full HR management expertise across the generalist piece, and will be genuinely confident as a Senior HR professional and your abilities to deliver real change through a high performing HR team within challenging timescales. Background wise, a proven track record of HR success within an industrial unionised experience with experience of blue & white collar employee businesses is highly preferable. Personal resilience, the ability to work at pace & a robust approach to HR is vital.
