Job description

Regional HR Business Partner - East Midlands (Derby, Nottingham, Stoke, Sheffield) - c£52k plus car allowance - Permanent

If you are a HR professional looking to make a real impact in and be part of an evolving and transformational HR team then this could be a great opportunity for you!

The business are a small, successful and high growth SME. Owner managed they are extremely entrepreneurial, and to date have grown predominantly via acquisition, they are continuing to explore further avenues for growth over the next few years. Operating in the service sector they are a very commercial and pacy business, with plenty of opportunity to get stuck in and make a difference. There is plenty of investment going into the HR team at present, which speaks volumes about the important of their people.

From a HR point of view the team is currently being transformed to support the growth of the business, with an emphasis on providing a genuine business partnering function to managers which is proactive and supportive. You will be partnering a field based operational team who work across multiple sites with teams and are heavily client facing, therefore you will work in an agile way to partner and coach managers on how to lead their teams and best drive performance. You will be the link and connection point between the operational and central teams, ensure that communications from the centre are delivered appropriately both from a timing perspective and in a way which is relevant for your stakeholders. You will be working extremely closely with the CPO and wider HR team to build the HR strategy and implement at a local level whilst also developing HR KPIs which can be used for driving people ad business performance. Additionally you will be the HR lead for any TUPE programmes in your region, working with the Ops team to ensure this runs smoothly with a great people experience.

There is much to do in terms of building the HR team and infrastructure, therefore the ideal person for this role will be someone with demonstrable HR experience at Business Partner level, who is comfortable in an environment where HR is evolving, and be keen to be part of that. The business is very entrepreneurial and non-hierarchical, therefore you must be comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels and not be afraid of having difficult conversation at a senior level if the need arises. We are ideally seeking individuals who are fully CIPD level 7 qualified, or part way through their study.

A fully regional role, locations covered are Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham and Stoke. Therefore anywhere within this region as a home location would be great. Head Office is West Midlands.
