Their financial performance is impressive having seen turnover more than double in recent years, and now their focus is on growth & future performance, hence the requirement to appoint this brand new People Director opportunity.

Joining the Senior Leadership Team, this People Director will be instrumental in designing a contemporary People Strategy that captures the essence of an already highly successful business, and "future proofs" it for growth & further performance whilst maintaining high levels of employee engagement.

There is a very real desire for this role within the business; initially to take stock of current state, assimilate what is working & what isn't and create a bespoke and added value People plan that uses best practice principles, process & policy & is fit for purpose in line with business vision & values.

This People Director role is truly generalist and will be varied requiring focus on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance, organisation effectiveness, inclusion, development programmes at all levels, reward, internal communications and project management.

Ultimately however as People Director, this role will be instrumental in implementing a high performance culture and to ensure that key talent is identified, retained and developed within the organisation.

This business are seeking a highly commercial HR professional with the flair to create visionary HR practices and the pragmatism to implement them across multisite UK locations and collaborate with the wider group. To succeed, this role will require a combination of sophisticated influencing styles, a strong honed business acumen and a pragmatism in approach.

A proven HR professional with a track record of previous success at a senior level, you will possess robust HR knowledge plus the know how to create & implement People initiatives that will result in tangible business benefit. Comfortable with both strategic & operational aspects of the role, you will also have capability to ability to lead and develop a People team. Of preference for this People Director role are candidates applying with previous HR experience within a professional service or consultancy businesses or perhaps an appreciation of the technology & digital sector. Hybrid working is adopted to by this business, and the role will involve some travel to the East Midlands office as & when required.
