Job description

We are looking for an Interim HR Advisor for our client, based in Manchester. This will be a 3-month contract paid at a day rate.

This is a generalist role responsible for the day-to-day duties of the H.R. function across our client's Manchester operations. As the first point of contact for the Management Team and employees this role will both advise and support on employee related matters and ensure a quick and accurate response on the best approach.

The HR Advisor will work closely with HR colleagues to ensure the department is providing an effective and professional service to the business and will contribute and support in the roll out of continuous improvement projects for the business.

In this role, you will work with several different HR functions, such as Resourcing, Employee Relations, Absence Management, Learning & Development, Payroll, and more.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar generalist role, good sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice, a high level of computer literacy Microsoft office use of HR / T & A systems, and a full driving license. Previous experience working within a manufacturing / logistics environment and a CIPD qualification would be advantageous.

They will also have excellent communication skills, be highly self-motivated and organised with excellent team working skills. We are looking for someone who is influential with the skills to coach employees. Flexibility to travel is also required.
