HR Advisor
Job description
HR Advisor: Permanent: South Manchester based (with ad-hoc travel to other sites): Paying up to £30,000 + free car parking + 25 days holiday + more
Adam HR are proud to be supporting our international manufacturing client in their search for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
As HR Advisor you will provide an efficient and effective HR service across all head office functions and report into the HR Manager. The role of HR Advisor will be fast paced and varied including all generalist activity such as:
* Coaching and guiding management on how best to handle employee relations issues, ensuring a consistent and fair approach is maintained at all times
* Supporting the HR Manager on investigations for disciplinary and grievance proceedings in a note taking form, ensuring company policy and procedure is upheld to the highest standard
* Communicating any policy/procedure/legislative change across the business
* Liaising with Occupational Health on a regular basis
* Supporting on any recruitment/resourcing needs as required
* Managing time and attendance within the business, providing advice and support on queries, completing return to work forms, absence review meetings and ensuring strict adherence to the absence management policy
* Compiling attendance reports
* Providing advice and support to management on any performance related issues
* Coordinating and delivering new starter inductions
* Delivering HR related training to management and employees
* Ensuring all training activity and relevant paperwork is completed
* Inputting payroll data to send to the external payroll provider
* Providing support on any ad-hoc HR projects as required
In order to be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have previously worked at HR Advisor level in a similar generalist role as the following attributes:
* CIPD qualification at level 5 or above is highly desirable
* Strong employment law knowledge
* Highly computer literate with the ability to use all Microsoft Office packages as well as previous experience in using both HR and ATS systems
* Excellent communication and influencing skills both in a written and verbal sense
* Previous experience of coaching, guiding and supporting others
* A clear and concise communicator who can easily present valid thoughts, opinions and who isn't afraid to challenge the norm
* Holder of a full UK driving licence with the flexibility to travel to other sites on an ad-hoc basis
