What is the role?

The Head of Talent Development role is a critical role in the HR team, with a broad remit including Talent & Development, Engagement and ED&I. Forming part of the HR SLT, you will lead a small team to move the Talent and Learning strategy forward. They have some great foundations in place and this will about evolution and taking things to the next level, moving towards a best in class approach. Priorities are around increasing the number and quality of learning interventions across the organisation, as demand for support increases, and taking the talent and succession programmes forward using a variety of methodologies and channels.

You will also own the engagement strategy, they have made some brilliant strides engagement wise but are always alert to new approaches and tools, while also being aware that a variety of factors can impact. Finally, ED&I is something they are passionate about and want to continue to build on, from a strategic perspective this is very much an ongoing project, with lots to do!

This is an incredibly broad Talent & Development role which has so much potential to make a huge impact. While they have some great things in place, they are always open to new ideas - as with most organisations change is constant and they are very keen to keep up with the latest innovations.
