Job description

Join this SME, high growth, tech business as their first Head of HR.

Small but mighty, this UK-based specialist software business is growing fast. Already successful, they are highly ambitious eyeing up international expansion; and seek their first Head of HR appointment to help translate their strategy into reality.

Based in Cumbria and fully engaged in remote working, colleagues are experts in their field and highly passionate about what they do.

As the stand-alone Head of Human Resources reporting to the CEO, you'll be the driving force behind building the HR function; responsible for both strategic planning and day-to-day operations. Initially adopting a hands-on approach you'll address immediate HR needs while pivoting strategically to position the company for sustained growth. The potential to build and lead a high-performing HR team in the future exists.

You'll understand the HR challenges of a high-growth, SME business and will have the know-how to balance strategic vs operational, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business. Leadership development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth will be ingrained in your psyche.

A trusted business partner to the business, this is a real opportunity to draw on your HR expertise to bring in fresh ideas and new ways of working. You will provide expert advice on the whole employee lifecycle to attract, develop, engage & retain within a high performance environment.

To be successful in this Head of HR role, you'll have tangible strategic & operational HR experience, preferably within a high-growth SaaS business. You'll be commercially astute, accustomed to partnering with C suite, change agent savvy, and deliver at pace.

In return, you can expect a fully autonomous & accountable HR opportunity, in which you'll be joining a business that wants to achieve its goals and for you to shape and influence the people agenda.

We are anticipating a high level of interest in this role so please bear with us if we don't respond immediately.
