Job description

Head of HR - Bedfordshire (hybrid, c2-3 days office) - c£80k - £90k - Permanent

Who is the client?

This business is well established with a great story of how they have evolved and adapted to create a robust, successful and sustainable business. With a future focus they are committed to growth, transformation and 'giving back', all the while committing to an exceptional employee and customer experience. They have an incredibly diverse mixture of roles and responsibilities within the business and the HR team is a critical and truly value add partner to the business.

What is the role?

The Head of HR role is an important one in the HR team. Broadly speaking the role has two key focuses 1) team leadership and 2) a business partner to a key member of the Senior team. The backdrop and context of the business is all about growth and transformational change, including digital and cultural. The team leadership element covers a diverse range of HR disciplines (including BPs, TA and HR Ops), while the BP piece is connected to a high profile and high performance stakeholder group.

They have some great foundations in place and this will be about evolution, taking things to the next level and moving towards a best in class approach with exceptional basics. While they are currently enjoying high engagement scores they are not complacent and have ambitious plans in place to maintain and build on this success. The Head of HR role will work closely with the HR Director, with exposure to strategic projects and the autonomy to drive thought leadership, however as an operationally driven business the Head of HR will be responsible for translating strategy to action and delivering tangible results, both through their own activity and that of their team.

This is a broad Head of HR role which has so much potential to make a huge impact. While they have some great things in place, they are always open to new ideas - as with many organisations change is constant and they are keen to keep up with the latest innovations.

Who are we looking for?

Successful applicants for this role will demonstrate extensive Senior HR generalist experience gained preferably from a service / customer led, operationally focused organisation. Within your generalist toolkit you will have good experience and appreciation of working with or leading HR specialisms such as Talent Acquisition and HR Services, and will also have demonstrable experience of Business Partnering at Exec level. Ideally you will take a thought leadership approach, but will be adept at translating strategy into action and delivering results.

The business is based in Bedfordshire and operate a hybrid model, realistically this looks like c2-3 office days, with the ability to flex this (which works both ways).

Please send your CV to be considered for this great role!
