Job description

We're supporting a highly successful growing national brand with headquarters in Greater Manchester to appoint a new Employee Relations Manager to supplement their established HR team. The main purpose of the role is to provide swift and robust advice to assigned regions within a first-class customer focussed HR service, providing commercial solutions to employee relations issues.



This role is a great opportunity for an Employee Relations, or Employment Law Specialist who is looking to develop their career in a commercial, fast paced and multifaceted environment. Responsibilities will be varied within the spectrum of ER, you will be a key escalation point for complex ER issues, owning the process through to resolution, in addition to answering queries on specific processes or policies. You will also take a proactive approach to analysing ER trends therefore anticipating future issues and recommending interventions. You will be on top of current and future employment law legislation, and will provide advice and guidance to the business on its interpretation.


Ultimately you will be the subject matter expert for all things Employee Relations, therefore you must demonstrate real passion and drive for this area of HR. We are looking for a pragmatist, who recognises both the people and business implications of ER process, and is able to present logical and clear solutions for stakeholders, while remaining compliant. The ideal candidate for this role may be an Employee Relations specialist, or a HR Generalist with a particular bias towards ER, able to influence across all levels.

The salary on offer is circa £40,000-£45,000 doe + benefits, the business offers hybrid and agile working, likely a minimum of one day a week in head office and occasional travel to sites 2-3 times per month.
