Job description

We are looking for a Digital Project Manager (Digital and Technology) for our client based in Greater Manchester.

Reporting to the Head of Digital and Technology, the Digital Project Manager will take full ownership of digital projects whilst taking a hands-on role in day-to-day project management and looking for opportunities to develop client accounts.

Responsibilities:

Projects -

*Day-to-day management of a range of digital projects including websites, microsites, landing pages, digital tools and applications, Virtual Visitor and Showpad experiences
*Understand and use our client's project management systems and software, including DAN, TeamGantt, Trello, Basecamp, Microsoft Planner and other tools
*Provide end-to-end project management throughout digital projects from initial research, scoping, planning, quoting and scheduling through to co-ordinating IA, UX, design, development, testing and deployment
*Facilitating the development of accurate project documentation, including scoping and detailing of functional and technical specifications in line with client objectives and requirements
*Be the lead contact for project stakeholders, including clients, internal teams and external partners and freelancers
*Produce estimates, monitor budgets throughout projects and analyse against estimates post-project, ensuring learnings are applied in future
*Expand our client's network of partners and freelancers to fill gaps in our service offering, and nurture relationships with existing partners / freelancers.
*Implement processes to help ensure exceptional quality of work and improve team efficiency

Commercial -

*Work with the senior team to predict revenues and forthcoming prospects from each client and have the ability to determine and manage the financial performance of projects
*Take an active role in the client relationship and provide consultancy to clients and account teams to support the organic growth of key accounts
*Support new business development and organic client opportunities, including developing pitches and participating in client meetings
*Identify opportunities to develop our Digital & Technology services


Knowledge and skills:

*Have an excellent understanding of commercial processes to deliver profitable projects every time
*Be confident working alongside the technical teams to specify and document technical solutions
*Have an excellent understanding of web projects and implementation methodologies
*Have the ability to highlight project risks at the appropriate stage of the project
*Have the ability to manage changing business and technical requirements
*Be expert at own time management and setting own and others work goals
*Be authoritative and efficient - able to direct others confidently
*Be able to have tough conversations with our team and with our clients
*Have a very good understanding and knowledge of UX, web standards, accessibility and compatibility issues
*Be familiar with multiple technology platforms i.e. mobile apps, web, email and streaming media
*Have good numeracy skills for estimating and scheduling
*Have exceptional communication skills - both internally and client facing
*Be able to demonstrate an informed opinion about the digital ecosystem
*Be forward thinking, with an ability to innovate and leverage technology as it evolves
*Be analytical with great attention to detail, ensuring consistent improvement in the quality of our output
