Digital Marketing Manager

FTC - 12 - 15 Months
Greater Manchester - Cheadle

Up to £45,000 + up to £3,600 bonus

Hours of Work will be 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Focus of the role: The execution and strategy of digital responsibilities and the role is purely digital-focus. This role would be ideal for a creative thinker. (Social is not part of this role as this is covered internally by social executives)

We are currently looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager for our client. Ideally, someone who can hit the ground running to provide 15 months maternity cover. You will be experienced in project management of digital projects, stakeholder management, user experience of Adobe Experience Management (AEM) and leadership of a digital team.

The Role

You will be responsible for the management of customer acquisition, activation and retention via appropriate digital marketing strategies, implementing, tracking and optimising all digital marketing channels and campaigns, utilising strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking to track and benchmark performance. You will lead the Digital Marketing team of 5 and provide team members with a clear direction as well as guidance and support.

What You'll Do

* Strategy & content - Support and oversee the delivery of a digital marketing strategy
* CMS - Enable the team to develop Search Engine Optimization (SEO) enriched and optimised content, structure of the website, microsites and apps, support the team to complete edits via Customer Management Systems (CMS)
* Online Tools - Implement online tools to improve user experience and interactions (quantity calculators, texture generator, stockist search etc)
* Marketing Automation - Support the development and connection of user interactions from the website/s to Marketing Cloud
* Campaigns - support category marketing and external agencies to develop, implement, track and optimise digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels
* Search engine optimisation - oversee the strategy to increase the number of visitors to website(s) and achieve high-ranking placements in search results, manage Pay per Click (PPC) and Google AdWord campaigns
* Social media marketing - oversee the social media strategy and increase the number of followers across social media channels
* Lead conversion - optimise online lead generation by monitoring and analysing outcomes
* Analyse marketing data to help shape marketing activities, produce monthly reports to monitor, key performance indicators (KPI's) and key online trend statistics across all digital platforms
* Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate customer experience across the multiple channels and outline improvements (i.e. usability based on learnings from Google Analytics and Google Search console)

Who is the ideal candidate?

* B2B background ideally or B2B/B2C mix
* Digital project management experience essential
* Large organisation background and internal stakeholder management essential
* Has a high affinity, enthusiasm and proven work experience in Digital Marketing
* Possess a degree in digital marketing or data science or a CIM Digital marketing qualification
* Experienced in managing and developing people
* Has project management experience
* Has strong analytical and interpretation skills - solid knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics), marketing data analytics and tools (SaaS) and advanced Excel capabilities
* Is comfortable with numbers with a keen interest in turning data into actionable insights
* Possesses an interest in web design / a basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, web development tools)
* Has experience in creating and optimising landing pages, mobile marketing (including app development), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and databases
* Is competent in Microsoft Office including Adobe Creative Suite / Web Analytics, Google AdWords, PPC Campaigns etc
* Has experience in managing email newsletters with customer segmentation
* AEM or Marketing Cloud is preferable or relatable systems will also be considered
* Proven team player and comfortable working across teams.
