Job Title: Communications Officer
Business: Well established public sector body
Location: Manchester city centre
Base Salary & benefits: £24k-circa £29,400, 27 days holidays, pension scheme access, flexible working, free travel pass purchase scheme

Focus of the role:
Job Description includes but not limited to:
*Spearheading the delivery of the internal communications and supporting external media and communications activity.
This will involve various channels including intranet, e-newsletters, and events. This will involve taking the internal communications strategy forward and supporting employees to embody the organisational values.
*Regarding the external communications side, you'll be part of a busy press office, where multi-tasking across various demands and meeting tight deadlines will be part of your job. You'll also build strong relationships with external partners, ensuring they're involved with work and encouraged and enabled to support activity. The company owns channels (website and social media) and are an essential tool in how we enhance our reputation to internal and external audiences, so you'll be creating content and assisting the team in content management, as well as feeding into a wider content and activity calendar.
Skills & Background:
The successful candidate will have solid experience working in a communications role, with specialist internal communications experience or qualifications. You'll have current knowledge of best practice across internal comms, as well as a good understanding in digital and social media, and external comms/PR experience. Proven experience in stakeholder management and good technical skills in content management systems is essential. Candidates will possess a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, along with a relevant professional qualification, chartered status or equivalent experience.
