Job Title: Category Manager Location: Leeds Salary & Benefits: Up to £45k, DoE + Flexible working, car or car allowance, parking. Type of role: Permanent We are looking for an experienced Category Manager for our client, to provide accurate and timely analysis and reporting using a variety of data sources, supporting the sales and marketing teams This role will be a hybrid working arrangement, with a mix of office and remote working dependant upon business needs. The job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): *Providing regular category analysis showing trends and brand performance to the sales and marketing teams, helping them drive competitive advantage, using monthly reports, providing support, and creating ad hoc bespoke presentations when required *Running post-promotion evaluations reviewing mechanics, secondary space, and competitor activity to ensure ROI *Ensuring that stakeholder market intelligence needs are met, to identify and create a distinct competitive advantage through the tactical and strategic use of information *Helping shape strategic business initiatives by providing insightful business intelligence The ideal candidate will: *Possess good working knowledge of scan and panel data, and will have worked with IRI/Nielsen or Kantar Worldpanel on agency or supplier side. Supplier side experience is an distinct advantage. *Be experienced in customer and agency relationship management *Possess fantastic numeracy skills with the ability to analyse data and identify key trends *Have good communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation and report writing *Be a highly organised person with good planning skills, and the ability to prioritise *Possess strong inter-personal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with sales and marketing teams *Our client will consider candidates who are Category Managers with relevant experience and want a change of scene or candidates looking for a stepchange and are working as Analysts in an Insights Team now.
