Job description

Assistant Head of Organisational Development - Manchester - £52,000 - £60,000 - Permanent

This newly created role will play a pivotal part in the development of a world class, and sector leading Organisational Development function.

We are looking for an inspirational leader who will lead a team to deliver the OD strategy in tandem with the wider business strategy. Critical to the role will be the ability to engage with a highly diverse audience to effectively diagnose issues and develop creative and innovative interventions which engage, motivate and ultimately empower leaders and their teams to take ownership for their development.

You will be responsible for developing the leadership development and talent management strategy, and working with your team to deliver this using a variety of methods which are accessible, relevant and fully tailored to meet the needs of the individuals. Developing succession plans with leaders will be a key part of your role, and supporting them in recognising and identifying what 'great' performance does and should look like, along with driving strong employee engagement.

This role will be operating against a backdrop of cultural change in the organisation, therefore this individual must be an agent of change, with the ability to work at pace and manage multiple projects and priorities at any one time. This organisation is highly values and purpose driven, and so the strategies and interventions applied must be mindful and reflective of this.

You must be able to demonstrate extensive team leadership experience, in an OD capacity, with proven experience of developing and delivering leadership, talent and OD strategies within a complex environment.

This is an great opportunity for an OD professional to truly feel part of something big, that impacts almost everyone at some point in their lives.
