eCommerce Manager

An eCommerce Manager is responsible for the online sales of a business. Their role includes the day-to-day management of the company website, and formulating strategies around the design and practicality of the online store and adjacent platforms (i.e. an App).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an eCommerce strategy in order to improve the performance of the website

  • Manage all online activity relating to sales, conversion, and website traffic

  • Reporting on website activity

  • Work closely with developers to improve the website

  • Be up to date on market trends and technologies

  • Work closely with the marketing team to aid traffic acquisition

  • Using data to inform eCommerce strategies

  • Performance reporting

Expected Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree educated in a relevant subject

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar position

  • Good working knowledge of PPC, SEO, social media, affiliate channels, etc.

  • Ability to accurately analyse data and use this data to inform decisions

  • Excellent understanding of web design, UX, and web analysis

  • Experience in UX, Adobe, InDesign, etc.

  • Proven experience managing marketing and tech teams

Salary

The average UK annual salary for a eCommerce Manager is £48,500. This can rise to around £52,500 in London. An eCommerce Manager in the North of England can expect approx. £45,500 per year. There may also be additional benefits and a bonus offered. (Reed.co.uk, March 2022)
