We are looking for an exceptional Head of Bids to join our client’s professional services firm based in Manchester. The right candidate will lead the bids team, manage new and existing client bids, and spearhead cross-functional initiatives to expand service offerings.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire bid process from initiation to completion, including leading on complex opportunities.
  • Support the bid review process to identify suitable opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and team development through strong leadership and guidance.
  • Ensure bid responses are tailored to meet and exceed client expectations, addressing key themes, sector challenges, and specific requirements.
  • Lead the maintenance of a strategic bid approach across all sectors, informed by outcomes, market insights, and strategic analysis.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including presenting to commercial and procurement teams or potential partners.
  • Work closely with the Relationship Management team to craft compelling renewal strategies that enhance client retention.
  • Foster effective relationships with key departments to secure engagement and support.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations that reflect key themes from tenders.
  • Develop and maintain bid libraries our client and other group companies.
  • Produce clear, insightful monthly and quarterly reports outlining value, conversion rates, and key win themes and trends.

  • Demonstrable experience within a bidding environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for proofreading.
  • Displays a driven, motivated, and proactive attitude.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Adopts a commercial mindset with a strong focus on winning bids.
  • Capable of managing both internal and external stakeholders with a consultative and professional approach.
  • Experience in team leadership or managerial roles.
  • Background in the healthcare, counselling, or wellbeing sector is advantageous but not essential.

Client Relationship Manager

As an integral part of the Global Client Development Team, this role collaborates with the Head of Clients to oversee and contribute to client relationship management and development.
