Managing Director
The Managing Director is one of the key members of a company's management team. They are responsible for the overall day-to-day company operations.
Responsibilities
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business
Preparing business plans, budgets, and reporting
Providing strategic advice to the Board
Controlling company resources
Ensure the business is as efficient as possible
Being the face of the business, representing the business in negotiations with clients and suppliers
Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
Ensuring that the business is at the forefront of the industry
Developing and implementing policies and procedures

Salary
The average UK annual salary for a Managing Director is £70,000. This can rise to over £100,000 in London. Managing Directors in the north of England can expect approx. £65,000 per year.
