​Managing Director

The Managing Director is one of the key members of a company's management team. They are responsible for the overall day-to-day company operations.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business

  • Preparing business plans, budgets, and reporting

  • Providing strategic advice to the Board

  • Controlling company resources

  • Ensure the business is as efficient as possible

  • Being the face of the business, representing the business in negotiations with clients and suppliers

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients

  • Ensuring that the business is at the forefront of the industry

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures

Salary

The average UK annual salary for a Managing Director is £70,000. This can rise to over £100,000 in London. Managing Directors in the north of England can expect approx. £65,000 per year.
