Job description

Senior HR Manager - Greater Manchester - Upto £60k - Permanent

This business is a commercial and innovative business operating in a niche field. Continuing to grow and building on strong and successful foundations, they continue to evolve, ensuring they are in the strongest possible position to move forward.

Critical to this continued growth is the HR team, and a number of circumstances have aligned to enable them to bring on board a Senior HR Manager in a new position. This person will play a key role in shaping the HR team and ensuring they are adding value as a truly commercial business function.

The role will be a great mix of team leadership responsibility, and project focus. Ultimately they are looking to review the current state of play, identify areas for improvement, and deliver changes to a high standard. The Senior HR Manager will be hands on where appropriate but will also lead the team, ensuring they are empowered to make decisions and get involved in the wider business. You will work towards embedding a proactive mindset across the team, where relationships with managers are strong and potential issues are identified early on, in addition to streamlining and strengthening processes. This role is truly generalist, with sight across the full HR spectrum in varying degrees. You will build relationships across the business, positioning yourself and your team as an enabling function, with solid understanding of commercials and how a robust people strategy can support business growth.

This business offers a great working environment, which is highly collaborative. Expectations are high but so is the level of support and openness to help you succeed.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced HR generalist, who is comfortable in a role which couples operational work with strategy. You must have lead a team in a HR capacity, and enjoy developing and coaching others.
