About the role
We are looking for Senior Payroll professional to head up a large monthly & weekly payroll for a large service business based across the UK. Based from Reading, the role will be responsible for a sizeable payroll team.
This isn't a business as usual role; rather it will be instrumental in curating & delivering a best in class payroll service. There's a lot to be done, and the ideal candidate should thrive working under pressure, and in a fast paced & demanding environment.
Key skills and behaviours will focus on excellent communication skills, continuous improvements, simplifying processes & team development. A high profile role within the business, you will work very closely with senior leaders throughout the business
Tell me more about the role
*Developing & leading the team to deliver customer excellence
*Advise on all issues around pay, tax, pension & associated deductions in line with current & impending legislation & regulations
*Review the current processes, systems & practices to ensure efficiency & integrity
*Liaising with key stakeholders such as exco, HR, finance, business leaders
*Develop excellent working relationships with 3rd party suppliers & other external partners
*SLA management & delivery
What are we looking for?
*A proven track record of leading a Payroll Team within a large business & payroll
*Significant technical experience & knowledge especially with complex payroll matters
*Preferably Degree educated with CIPP qualifications or demonstrable through experience
*Commercially focused, critical thinker, alongside an innovative and resourceful mindset
*A courageous leader, happy to challenge the status quo and deliver positive customer experience
