This Group Head of HR role within a highly successful manufacturing business, will be instrumental in enhancing operational capability as they look to the future. They are looking for a true HR leader who will develop & deliver an effective HR service; embracing commercial ambitions and help support a high performance culture & growth.

As Group Head of HR, this role sits within the senior leadership team to drive and will be implement a commercial, value added HR service. Fostering a culture of high standards & safety, you will provide effective leadership and motivation of a HR team in order to deliver a customer centric HR service, providing the very best outcomes for the organisation and employees.

Ultimately this is a full generalist senior HR role, with a key focus on driving industry leading, best practice HR procedures & processes, challenging current state to ensure continuous improvement and leading and developing projects that will support future organisational design.

Key aspects of the role will involve:

  • Strategic planning by developing, implementing and managing HR operations, strategies, & transformational change programs
  • Developing & enhancing the talent attraction model
  • Ensuring development programs & organisational talent are future proofed to ensure future growth, continuous improvement & high performance
  • Fostering a positive employee & industrial relations climate
  • Effectively coaching & supporting the leadership team
  • Designing and implementing effective KPIs that support continuous improvement and lean methodology to achieve business excellence.
  • Developing a "best in class" HR team

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of developing, implementing & delivering operational excellence in HR within a multi-site, unionised, fast moving manufacturing environment. You will combine an understanding of people and human behaviours with the need for systems-driven performance, genuinely wanting what is best for the organisation. Detail focused and data savvy, you will be particularly adept at designing and implementing effective, commercial HR solutions that deliver tangible bottom line results. Experience of motivating and leading a team and managing and driving positive culture change to drive employee engagement is key.

Due to the nature of the business, this role is offered as an office based role, and there will be travel to other local sites.
