Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic account manager to join our growing account management team.  As an Account Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the happiness of clients, listening to them and helping them understand what they need to achieve.  You will also be responsible for helping develop our client support services and working with our internal expert teams (i.e. Content, Social & Paid Search).

This is a hands on, client facing role where you will be the face of the agency and taking ownership of central campaign delivery and reporting.You will have a passion to grow your digital knowledge across multiple channels, get a buzz from building relationships and confident in delivering brilliant campaign experiences! Previous digital experience and some technical understanding and knowledge will be very useful in this role.

The role is to report into the Account Director.

You will be responsible for working closely with clients and internal departments to help achieve and exceed targets and drive new scopes of work. 

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for managing our operational client relationships and our client happiness
  • Ensuring day-to day delivery and consistency of digital marketing campaigns across PPC, Display, SEO, Social and Content to agreed deadlines
  • Accuracy of reporting and shared custom insights from analytics
  • To be the voice of the client internally, building and maintaining relationships with key contacts and ensuring we are delivering what they need to exceed their goals
  • To own the account management process, ensure that it is adhered to for all accounts
  • To work closely with specialists in client teams, understand and be able to coordinate various internal process
  • To establish and develop processes within client teams, and the wider company, to ensure we're all getting the most out of each other when it comes to delivering client work

Stuff you'll need to know & things you'll need to be

Experience 

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role, ideally in an agency environment
  • First hand experience of digital marketing performance channels, specifically: PPC, SEO, Paid Social and Content
  • Previous client portfolio management; ensuring client retention and supporting growth of partnerships

Knowledge

  • A good working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets & Docs to construct client reviews and build presentations
  • A good understanding of Google Analytics; experience with other insight tools MOZ Pro & SEMRush would be beneficial
  • Experience working with performance data to evaluate client strategy and develop and build proposals to achieve KPIs Skills
  • Able to report on, analyse and present results to make your own suggestions for growing accounts
  • Ability to work independently, using your own initiative plus as part of a wider team
  • Have an excellent standard of written English, representing our clients professionally and respectfully
  • Pro-activity. Every job-specification says this but it's so important for this role. We'll give you guidance and coaching but we're a start up, and you've gotta be self motivated and not afraid to ask the right questions and run with your own ideas
