Job description

Our client is hiring a CMO Supply Planner to manage the CMO supply base for a portfolio of products, ensuring exceptional levels of Customer Service and working capital targets are achieved.

This will involve working as part of an internal cross-functional Business Hub with key stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Technical Operations, Finance, Quality and Regulatory. Establishing and maintaining effective and influential working relationships with external stakeholders, particularly, 3rd Party CMO suppliers, 3rd Party Logistics and the Group Supply Chain function is of paramount important to be successful in the role.

It is also imperative to develop outstanding relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Marketing, Customer services, Quality, Finance etc.

The primary objective of the role is to optimize service levels and working capital (inventory health) and to proactively challenge the status quo and provide proactive communication to key stakeholders.

You will comply with all Health & Safety requirements and other SOP's relevant to the role.

What the role entails:

* Improve cross-functional collaboration especially between key stakeholders e.g. customer service, sales, marketing
* Deliver improvements in service levels: Target 98% OTIF
* Improve Inventory Health: optimize stock, reduce SLOBS and Write-Offs
* To ensure key business processes are executed and supported to a high standard and are continuously improved
* To proactively drive and support change within the supply chain, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting the prioritization and implementation of them
* To ensure commercial CMO supply plans are in place that support both customer service and working capital objectives (inventory health)
* To play an active and effective role as part of a Business Hub Team, aligning the CMO supply plans to the business hub strategy

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have experience creating the correct supply plans in line with metrics such as inventory, healthcare, cost & quality. This is an interactive role, therefore very good negotiation & influencing skills essential. Sector experience FMCG, Pharma, Fast Fashion or relatable fast paced sector essential.
Minimum five years supply chain planning experience including CMO supply planning, ideally in FMCG and\or pharmaceutical, as well as educated to a degree level, would be ideal. A solid understanding of inventory management techniques to optimize service and inventory health and experience of SAP or similar ERP systems, ideally including SAP APO, essential. Experience of Sales & Operations Planning would be beneficial.
