Location: Ireland, UK or Gibraltar

Our client is a leading and well known global gaming company and they are looking to recruit an exceptional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who will be accountable for all brand (s), digital and retail marketing strategy, budget & marketing teams, across all marketing channels and all international territories.

The CMO will lead a new business growth strategy for the brand(s) in Ireland, the UK and new International markets with accountability for the commercial strategy, including strategic planning, marketing strategy and commercial partnerships.

Initially focusing on the commercial strategy, brand(s) development, targeting positioning for each territory growth strategy, the role will also include further development of the customer proposition across; the Retail shops in Ireland & the UK, Omni-Channel and Digital business channels with accountability for both commercial development & sportsbook marketing & promotion operations within the role. The role will also steer the prioritisation of the product development strategy so product is aligned to customer, marketing and commercial goals.

The CMO will develop and implement a distinctive & differentiated brand strategy to achieve market share growth and execute the brand marketing plans across all customer and media channels. This may include the development of new brands or the acquisition of brands for new international territories.

The role is responsible for:

  • the leadership and implementation of all advertising, media buying and digital marketing.
  • the implementation of marketing performance & media channels, including attribution and direct ROI measurement for
  • brand marketing, performance marketing (acquisition and digital attribution)
  • the development & execution of brand creative, media buying, on and offline advertising production, promotions, sponsorship, PR and customer experience areas.
  • Digital sportsbook operations planning & promotions
  • Steering product development prioritisation
  • Customer research and insights
  • Commercial partnerships
  • M&A that aligns to the marketing and commercial strategy.
  • Extensive experience in a Marketing leadership related role within the betting and gaming industry at a Senior Executive level (with significant cost or P&L responsibility or equivalent)
  • Commercially astute - brings a track-record in managing a successful multi-million pound

P+L and knows the factors that deliver success (revenue and margin growth, customer offers, activation and retention, player yield management, cost control, CAPEX management).

  • Experience of demanding high levels of service from third-party suppliers but working collaboratively with them to achieve agreed objectives and create success for both parties.

  • International, multi-cultural experience needed for market entry, team & resource requirements and to manage team(s) and business units globally with consistency while maintaining a clear appreciation of local culture/needs
