​Head of Talent

The Head of Talent's main task is the understand the business, it's goals and priorities and to create a hiring strategy in order to help achieve these goals.


  • Managing and developing the Talent Aquisition team

  • Identifying the needs of the business, and creating and implementing an efficient talent aquisition strategy

  • Monitoring turnover and reporting to the Executive team

  • Overseeing individual and team training

  • Developing employee retention strategies

  • Overseeing regular employee performance reviews

  • Managing the reporting process

  • Workforce planning

  • Resource forecasting

Expected Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive team management experience

  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to motivate a team

  • Strategic and tactical thinking

  • Influencing skills

  • Proven experience with performance management

  • Experience designing and delivering employee training

  • A strong understanding of workplace legislation


The average UK annual salary for a Head of Talent is £67,500. This can rise to around £74,000 in London. Annual bonuses are sometimes issued to Heads of Talent if business goals are met. (Glassdoor, March 2022)
