Develop and implement technical strategies for the organisation
Build data protection and quality assurance processes in line with GDPR and other regulations
Lead and present the technology strategy to other senior leaders and partners
Make executive technology decisions
Align technological strategies and company goals
Manage budgets and deliverables

A degree in computer science, engineering, or similar
Ability to conduct technological analysis and research
Approx. 10+ years leadership experience, or previous CTO experience
Strategic thinking
Extensive business planning and problem-solving experience
Great communication skills
Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends
Salary
The average UK annual salary for a Chief Technology Officer is £108,000. This can rise to around £120,000 in London. CTO's in Manchester can expect approx. £119,000 per year. Annual bonuses are common for Chief Technology Officers, alongside other benefits. (Indeed, March 2022)
