Job description

I am working on an extremely exciting opportunity on behalf of a London based Consultancy, who are looking for a Senior Reporting Analyst to join them on a full-time basis.

The Senior Reporting Analyst reports directly into the Reporting Team Lead and is a key role merchandising the value of data within this Consultancy as well as flawless execution of their reporting.

You understand the difference between information and insight and will know how to display insights in a compelling way to clients. You will have a passion for understanding why things are the way they are. You also have a genuine interest in the agency business and relationship dynamics.

You will already be a confident analyst of the data, someone who is driven by real curiosity and a desire to find the stories in the data and who can instinctively spot the narrative.

This is a role in a newly formed insights team, working closely with a diverse range of teams in the business (operations, agency leads, consultants and where appropriate IT). You will need to understand and consider the clients perspective to raise the bar on the reports that this Consultancy delivers.

The Role….

Core Business

*Responsible for ensuring standard reports are ready on time and 100% accurate
oWork with your team to add additional analysis and insights to a report where appropriate to add value, maintaining accuracy.
oSpot stories in data and present them accordingly in reports and presentations
oFollow lines of inquiry in the data to add value to clients at a micro agency level as well as a market and sector level.
oCreate bespoke pieces of standalone analysis as appropriate.
oPrepare presentations, catching any discrepancies or errors in the automated output.
oWork with Agency Leads and where appropriate, Consultants to ensure reporting requirements are understood.
oPrepare and send further reports (dossiers and dashboards as necessary).
oBe sure to capture and communicate any late responses to the survey.

*Support in building their Insights Centre of Excellence
oWork with your team to provide additional insights across reports, looking across a broad range of data (e.g. trends they are seeing across a region, sector or group).
oContinuously look for new themes, trends and opportunities to add value to thought pieces with their data and insight.
oContinuously look to improve their offering to clients both in automated and customised reports as necessary.

*Support in the delivery of new products
oExecute flawless reporting in the pilot of the products where necessary.
oContribute in the setup and evolution of the reporting process of the product.
oWhere appropriate, support in training the wider team on the reporting process of the product, once the product moves out of incubation.

*Continuously look to improve their system to better client service and efficiency.
oSupport in trialling new processes surrounding how they might report data
oContinuously look to improve their reporting capability.
oWhere necessary, test new features on their system to ensure the functionality is as it should be.

*Lead a team of 3 people

Operational
*Ensure a smooth handover between teams, using the relevant tools.
*Update the relevant documentation to ensure all agency nuance is captured.
*Ensure solid communication within your team.
