Mid-Senior Front End Developer (FTC) Manchester £32-40k pro rata 3 month FTC - temp to perm opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a major e-commerce brand as a mid-senior level Front End Developer as they go through an unprecedented period of growth. The role is initially for a 3 month fixed term contract with the view to move into a permanent position as of January 2020.
Based in the heart of the City Centre, this business has a strong global reach and a long portfolio of quality products. Your role will primary focus will be across multiple websites in different countries to help improve the brand, workflow and marketing requirements online. You will have an important role in shaping the way they work as a team and help improve the technology on their websites.

Essential Skills *4+ years in a web functional area, preferably in a marketing or e-commerce setting *Solid experiences with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript *Proficient in using git or equivalent version control tool *Knowledge of marketing systems, such as tag management (Adobe and Google), A/B testing (Dynamic Yield, Optimizely, Adobe), and web analytics (Adobe and Google Analytics) *Practical experiences with Agile and Scrum methodologies (Scrum / Kanban) *Precise communication skills *Significant understanding and appreciation for UX
Desired *Some experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. ReactJS, AngularJS, Vue, etc.) *BS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience *Experience in working for an e-commerce company with a large SKU database (1,000+ Products) *Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify Plus or BigCommerce *Understanding of SEO, web performance, and accessibility *Outgoing, friendly, and can-do personality *Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-threaded, dynamic environment *Experience with multi-lingual website technology and architecture
This is a really unique opportunity for somebody to come on board and hit the ground running in a short term contract which would either wrap up nicely before Christmas or be extended into a full-time permanent contract at the start of the New Year.
