Internal Communications Manager - c£65k - London / Hybrid - Permanent

Greenfield opportunity ! This is a well thought of and highly regarded business in their sector, they have an incredibly strong heritage built on solid family values and delivering high touch service to their customers. Currently undergoing a transformation to set them up for the future, internal communications is becoming ever more critical for them, particular as they embrace hybrid working.

They have great people and exciting plans, however they lack a coherent and unified internal communications strategy to support this. Things happen in isolation and there is often duplication of effort and contrasting tones and messaging. There are a variety of newsletters, town halls and workstreams around various topics, plus a variety of comms and employee working groups, however these often overlap and don't reach they intended audiences. They are now looking for their first dedicated Internal Communications expert who can do a deep dive into what the business needs, then develop and implement a robust strategy.

This should include simple, joined up communications which are engaging and have a clear tone of voice along with the identification of the most appropriate channels to use and ensuring the approach is co-ordinated, consistent and impactful. Tools and channels they are hoping to explore are their existing intranet (improve or replace) and a calendar of events which give a platform for sharing important business updates or driving engagement initiatives, additionally they are hoping to simplify how they communicate with each other in a hybrid world.

This is great opportunity to join an evolving People team and make a big impact in how the business communicates internally, they are a relatively small business but highly complex with a long and successful history. This will be something you can own and build from scratch, a highly visible and positive role in a business which is focused on the future. The business are seeking someone who has a solid grounding in internal communications, having ideally worked in an SME environment and used to disparate / hybrid workforce. You must be a creative individual and be prepared to challenge the status quo, while being astute enough to identify what is appropriate for the business.

You must be comfortable to travel to Central London c2 days a week.
