Internal Communications Manager
Salary up to £40k DOE - permanent position
We are looking for a talented and experienced Internal Communications Manager for our client for a FMCG/Pharma company.
Job Purpose
This newly created role will be responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of internal communications with the aim of driving employee engagement.
The successful candidate will support the Director of Communications and provide communications support to the business by planning, creating, and implementing internal communications. This role will support the Communications Director, HR Director, and wider Leadership Team in engaging employees across multiple sites. The individual will prepare written communications, organise face to face briefings with employees and prepare key presentations, speeches and other content to maximise engagement. The role will also often be required to act as a coach and advisor to business leaders on message development and delivery.
This role will interface with a high number of internal stakeholders including senior management and a global Communications team. It will be essential that the individual builds close relationships across all of the UK businesses and with different functions.
This role requires excellent written and verbal skills as well as the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively often under pressing time deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Key areas of ownership and day-to day-responsibility include:
*Shaping and driving the day-to-day delivery of internal communication across the company
*Aligning the business and its people to the delivery of the overall vision and ambition
*Embedding the company values and supporting on-going cultural development
*Leading the day-to-day delivery of the internal engagement including key annual events, monthly Town Halls, intranet development and managing content for the site notice boards and screens
*Supporting any change management projects which impact employees
*Measuring and evaluating the success of the internal communications programme
*Managing, planning and delivering all written and content for weekly newsletters
Experience
*Extensive experience in a communications environment, preferably gained in-house
*Ability to communicate confidently when under pressure
*A good understanding and experience of internal engagement and cultural change
*Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
