As HR Director working side by side with your peers and leading your team, you'll utilise your generalist HR skills, experience and knowledge to engender a culture of high standards; providing effective leadership and motivation to others to deliver a customer-centric HR service, providing the very best outcomes for the business, colleagues & customers.

Ultimately this is a full generalist senior HR role, with a key focus on driving industry leading, best practice HR procedures & processes, challenging current state to ensure continuous improvement and leading and developing projects that will support future organisational design.

Key aspects of the role will involve:

  • Strategic planning by developing, implementing and managing HR operations, strategies, & transformational change programs
  • Developing & enhancing the talent attraction model
  • Ensuring development programs & organisational talent are future proofed to ensure future growth, continuous improvement & high performance
  • Fostering a positive employee & industrial relations climate
  • Effectively coaching & supporting the leadership team
  • Designing and implementing effective KPIs that support continuous improvement and lean methodology to achieve business excellence.
  • Developing a "best in class" HR team

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of developing, implementing & delivering operational excellence in HR within a multi-site, unionised manufacturing environment. You will combine an understanding of people and human behaviours with the need for systems-driven performance, genuinely wanting what is best for the organisation. Detail-focused and data savvy, you will be particularly adept at designing and implementing effective, commercial HR solutions that deliver tangible bottom-line results. Experience of motivating and leading a team and managing and driving positive culture change to drive employee engagement is key.

Due to the nature of the business, this role is offered as an office-based role (easily reached from South Cheshire/Staffordshire) however there will be the opportunity to work from home weekly once you are up to speed in the role.

Salary wise we are considering basic salaries up to £100,000, however we may flex this boundary depending on skills and experience. This role attracts a bonus potential of up to 30% and also a long term incentive plan.
