Job description

E-Commerce Manager
We are looking to recruit an exceptional E-Commerce Manager for a dynamic and rapidly expanding FMCG business based in the North West. Heading the E-Commerce business (across own website, marketplaces and partner channels) in the UK and responsible for delivering the digital KPIs and revenue targets for the business. You will be responsible for defining, driving and delivering high performance and excellence throughout all the UK and international eCommerce websites. You will create an engaging digital shopping environment that excites customers whilst analysing the market, aligning marketing activities with an awareness of the competition and potential growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities:
*Customer experience - Giving our customers a world class shopping experience and encouraging loyalty and repeat purchasing; through identifying new and innovative ways to drive traffic to websites.
*Strategy and plans - Create and manage an eCommerce trading strategy and plan that allows websites to achieve sales & margin targets.
*Campaigns and activity - Organising launches, eCommerce campaigns and activities whilst creating innovative ways to merchandise products and improve the customer experience.
*KPIs and metrices - Using analytics and all relevant insights to monitor and gain a strong understanding of the customer journey to optimise sales, measure performance, make recommendations & define strategy.
*Reporting - Deliver sales, performance and forecast reporting to the business focussed on analysing KPIs, sales data, patterns and opportunities.
*Market and competition - Competitor, product, service and pricing analysis - to ensure we are competitive with market leading products and services. Develop a strong understanding of the current market, competitor activity and highlight opportunities.
*Team management - Leading, motivating and driving a team to deliver their own role and objectives successfully


The successful candidate:
*Experience of working in a fast-paced B2C eCommerce environment, SEO and the UX / customer journey.
*Experience of retail, FMCG and pharmaceuticals would be beneficial.
*Experience of managing budgets, trading calendars, sales forecasts and marketing channel traffic overviews.
*Strong communication skills - has worked exceptionally as part of a wider team and has some experience in managing others.
*Experience of creating and delivering sales and performance business reports, .
*Knowledge of finance and normal financial processes including EBITDA, margins, P&L and sales forecasting.
*A degree level is preferred or relevant proven experience.
